⭕️ 1976-1996 Berlin

Brando is a Berliner. Grown up in the East-German socialism, learning Russian as a first foreign language and being a swimmer at one of East Germany's famous Elite Sport Schools.

⭕️ 1996-1999 Berlin

Brando did not make it to the German National Squad, and hence, decided to quit twice a day and up to 40km a week swimming 'until you vomit' - because that's when the 'training-effect' just starts! Instead, he focussed on finishing high-school, doing his mandatory (civil)-service (because he hates guns + ridiculous wars!) at a school for handicapped children, before starting to study Psychology, Sociology & Educational Science.

⭕️ 1999-2001 Berlin

Brando, while doing his apprenticeship in a small owner-managed TV + radio production + media agency, was also building up a global advertising-commercial-recycling business: proposing the re-use of very successful (and mostly very expensively produced) local TV commercials in adapted versions to local brands in other local markets - but not like today sending out video links but shipping VHS & Betamax tapes around the world.

⭕️ 2001-2010 Barcelona

Brando, initially going to study Spanish for just one year and maybe doing an internship, stayed for 10 years! Building up the world's largest integrated marketing-communication network of 170+ specialized, owner-managed agencies across the globe: helping independent agency owners finding the right partners to handle their multi-national accounts.

⭕️ 2011-2015 Frankfurt

Brando, although not at all interested in going back to Germany, joined a research-based brand consultancy handling ~20 qualitative research projects per year for a vast variety of brands across industries, before becoming the global lead of one of the agency's biggest global accounts and using Frankfurt as his hub for 130+ days a year traveling.

⭕️ 2015-2024 Guangzhou

Brando, not being interested in living in any North, Central or South American country with gun-violence, went Far-East for his Chinese Adventure, becoming the Global Head of Brand Management & Communication for the world’s largest smart home appliances company.

⭕️ 2023-2024 Dubai

Brando moved with his role as Global Head of Brand Management & Communication to Dubai to double-hatting also as EMEA's Head of Marketing, helping to build up teams and structures in that prosperous region.

⭕️ 2024 Dubai

Brando, in February, when entering in his Chinese Zodiac 🐲 #Dragon year, decided it is time for a #sabbatical recovery + recharge + spending more time with his son Kamasi.

⭕️ 2024+ Dubai

Brando, while finally spending quality-time on 'things' which simply did not get enough (brain)space before, is brainstorming many ideas... while the most obvious one is just the first to be materialized: The Brand(o)Group
