For me that's the seat-belt of PR!
- you probably + hopefully will never really need + use it
- ...but in case of the accident, it will SAFE YOUR LIFE!
I love Public Relations but I don't like journalists 😜
...and when it comes to a potential 'Communications Crisis' even more care is required talking to the press!
No new news, you just have to be be well-prepared:
- work out a 'PR Crisis Management Manual'
(involves all departments input!)
- define + train the 'Core PR Crisis Management Team'
(requires one responsible + well-trained person in each team!)
- regularly update + refresh + retrain the 'Manual + Team'
(knowing that people change faster than you can keep track!)
